Meet Megan
Megan Hixson Lingerfelt, PT, DPT, CSCS

I started my journey into pelvic health after several years working as an orthopedic physical therapist. I saw the important connection the pelvic floor has to common orthopedic issues including low back pain, SI joint pain and hip pain. Pelvic floor issues are common in women and affect their overall function, health and wellbeing. There is a lack of resources and education provided to women with pelvic floor issues as well as lack of education to prepare women for the pregnancy and the postpartum stages. The standard healthcare model is not working leaving many women feeling hopeless, frustrated and lost.
Thus, the birth of Thrive Pelvic Health & Wellness! My goal is to help empower women to feel good in their bodies so they can live without limitations. As women, our bodies are strong and capable of navigating the changes that occur during the perinatal period and throughout our lives. We don’t have to shy away from or be embarrassed about these changes and we don’t have to settle into the idea these are just “the common female problems.” We can exercise without fear of pain or leaking, play with our kids, and do all the things that bring us joy! We deserve to THRIVE in all stages of life! I look forward to helping you discover solutions that positively impact your life and find lasting relief.
